Camaleón Transparente 2026 Departmental Short Story Contest
We’re back this year with a new edition of Camaleón Transparente. After the first metamorphosis, the contest is growing and opening up to the whole department: from the Laboratorio de Letras, we invite the Risaralda community and everyone who loves literature to take part in this short story call for entries.
We want to read young and adult voices; intimate or overflowing stories; tales that dare to explore and transform the everyday. The theme is open: here, imagination sets the course. Come and discover, create and share your way of storytelling.
Registrations will be made directly on this page. The form will open on 23 February 2026 and will be available until 22 March 2026.

Camaleón Transparente 2025: How It Began
In 2025, we held the first edition of Camaleón Transparente in Belén de Umbría, and it was an experience that confirmed just how valuable it is to read and to support one another through writing. In just four weeks, 98 authors from the municipality registered, with stories that were very different from one another. Each short story was blind-reviewed by a jury of writers and creative writing teachers, considering originality, narrative quality, and the ability to move the reader.
