Contest Camaleón Transparente

The Laboratorio de Letras celebrated with enthusiasm the first edition of ‘Camaleón Transparente’, a competition that sought to reveal, between layers of imagination and narrative craft, the emerging voices of short storytelling in the Spanish language.

• Enrolled participants: 98 authors from the municipality of Belén de Umbría
• Award Ceremony: 25 April 2025

In just four weeks we received almost a hundred stories that, like true chameleons, glided through genres as diverse as intimate science fiction, urban magic realism and fantasy chronicles. Each text was blindly evaluated by a jury made up of writers and teachers of literary creation, taking into account originality, aesthetic quality and the ability to move.

Acknowledgements

• 3 winning stories, which received cash prizes and will be published both in print and digital format.
• 7 honourable mentions, distinguished for their narrative proposal, will also be published in our print and digital edition of the anthology Chameleon Transparent 2025.

To all the people who participated: thank you for your trust and shared talent. To those who attended the ceremony: your presence and applause gave life and meaning to this literary meeting.
