This April 23, on Language Day, BelĂ©n de UmbrĂa will become a true stage for the love of books and words. From the Laboratorio de Letras, we extend an open invitation to the entire community to be part of the Book March, a symbolic and powerful mobilization in which every step counts… and every book too!
We want the people of BelĂ©n de UmbrĂa to come together in a collective gesture that strengthens our cultural identity and brings us even closer to the world of reading. How can you participate? Very simple: by donating books—one, two, or as many as you’d like to contribute—at the designated collection points: educational centers and the main plaza. Every book you donate will be the seed of a mini-library that will bloom in different corners of the municipality.
The purpose is clear and beautiful: to turn BelĂ©n de UmbrĂa into a reading territory, where any place is the perfect setting to encounter a story, to pause and imagine, to learn, and to dream. May books become part of the landscape, of everyday life, of the town’s soul.
The Book March will also be a space for coming together: we will share stories, readings, and that magical energy that is created when words travel from hand to hand and from heart to heart.
We’re waiting for you to walk with us toward a future that is more reading-filled, more human, and more ours.
Because reading is not only an individual act, it is an act of community.
