We believe in the power of storytelling to unleash creativity and connect people through words. That is why we want to invite emerging writers, hobbyists, young people, and anyone interested in giving free rein to their ideas and putting on paper the worlds that live in their mind. Each participant may submit one short story of 700 to 1,000 words, on any theme and in
🤔 How to participate?
- Registration: Register through the form available at labdeletras.com/concurso.
- Attach your work: Upload your short story in Word or PDF format.
- Pseudonym and title: Remember that the document must include only the title of the work and the author’s pseudonym. Do not include any personal information in the file in order to maintain the jury’s impartiality.
- Requirements review: Make sure your text is original, is not assisted by artificial intelligence, and contains no spelling mistakes. Otherwise, it will be automatically disqualified.
🏆 Acknowledgements
We want to reward the effort and creativity of participants with prizes that recognize their talent:
- First place: $3,000,000 COP and a plaque
- Second place: $2,000,000 COP
- Third place: $1,000,000 COP
The results will be announced at the awards ceremony on April 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the Municipal Theater of Belén de Umbría. During the event, the winning short stories will be read aloud to the audience.
